ABOUT THE PROGRAM
This program offers young rescued or rehomed dogs the opportunity to become trained service animals for individuals in need. These dogs, once lacking formal training, undergo a rigorous year-long (or more) process to develop into fully trained, reliable service dogs with specialized tasks and exceptional public access skills. The mission of Radiant9canine is to rescue, train, and place at least one dog every 12 to 18 months with a handler who may not have the financial means to acquire a professionally trained service dog.
APPLICATION PROCESS
When dogs are ready to accept applications, a link will be made available in their profile below for you to complete and submit. After submitting your application, please monitor your email for a follow-up message confirming whether the dog’s skills and temperament align with your needs.
Once your application is approved, a follow-up interview will be scheduled to discuss the details of the process, your specific needs, daily routines, and other relevant factors.
Following the acceptance of your application, recommendation letters will be requested. While a doctor’s note is not mandatory, it is preferred. Additionally, during the interview, we will evaluate your living environment, in-home pets, and overall lifestyle to ensure compatibility with the dog.
